#38: I Have to Call in Because I’m Too Comfortable to Move
This is, of course, a perfectly valid reason to call off work, and I fully support it. Just make sure you don’t have a dog or something who really needs to be taken outside early in the morning. There’s a humorous and very real struggle captured here—when the warmth of your bed becomes a siren call, luring you away from all responsibilities.
It’s the ultimate test of willpower to leave the comforting nest of blankets, especially when the cold outside seems almost personal in its bite. Even the most dutiful employee can relate to the wish that “my bed is warm” as a recognized reason for a day off. But alas, duties call, and the world waits for no one, not even the coziest of sleepers.
