#49: Always Apologize
Many of us had to deal with growing up in such a different period because our parents’ relationships with us were very different from how parents relate to kids today. We’re not saying that we wish we had soft parents or that they would let us get away with things. We think it’s important to understand that there is a difference today.

One significant difference is that when we were kids when our parents got angry with us, they wouldn’t find it necessary to apologize. Since they were the adults, and we were the kids, why would they be sorry? But doing this to kids only makes them feel like they are the problem when so many other things are at play.
