#5: We’re Off to See the Wizard
What’s better than receiving a gift from your grandma? Receiving a gift from your grandma’s grandma! That’s exactly what happened when one lucky individual was handed over a trio of first-edition books: The Wizard of Oz, Ozma of Oz, and The Lost Princess of Oz. Her grandmother passed these books down to her, who received them in March 1930—that’s almost a century ago!
The books are more than just literary treasures; they’re also time capsules, transporting us back to a simpler time when people found joy in stories about flying monkeys and magical shoes. Let’s hope the new owner treats them with the respect they deserve and doesn’t accidentally spill their coffee on the pages. After all, these books are older than sliced bread!
