Ordinary Women Who Inspire Us to Be Better People

Two of my biggest pet peeves with marriage proposals are that they are done in a very crowded and public place and that the woman usually has no idea it is coming. This leaves the woman completely vulnerable and unprepared in front of a large crowd of family and friends. It’s hard to be honest about your feelings in that kind of situation.

People rarely think about how the woman feels in this situation. I have told my boyfriend many times that if he decides to propose to me, I will automatically say no if it is in a public place because I don’t want that pressure and everyone watching. I think every woman should have the same guidelines to prevent situations like this.
