#20: Making a List
The giver in this next conversation is so incredibly charitable and sweet. When someone messages them asking for help with groceries this week, she responds promptly and generously. I mean, seriously, how many of us can say we would give up the contents of our last grocery shopping trip so effortlessly and calmly?
Which is why the taker’s demands seem even worse by comparison. This person has kindly agreed to give them a bunch of groceries, but their friend doesn’t want any old groceries; she only wants the ones on her list. I think responding this way is a very quick way to make sure that nobody wants to be your friend in the future; personally, I think I would last a couple of weeks at best with such a self-centered person as a friend.
