#17: Batman and Robin
The Batman show from the 1960s was a new experience for TV viewers. Finally, fans were able to watch comic book characters in vivid color perform amazing feats while defeating villains in every episode. Each episode was fast-paced, somewhat humorous, and, most importantly, always fun. Kids and grown-ups alike loved it.

Today’s superhero depictions are drastically different, but they owe the 1960s Caped Crusader a debt of gratitude. Special effects were new in the world of television for this show, and they had a lot to figure out. The effects look cheesy today, but at least it was a lesson in what not to do for today’s superheroes!
