#51: Harvey House
The Harvey Houses were a restaurant chain by the Fred Harvey company that was found along the rail lines across the United States. From the latter part of the 1800s to the middle of the 20th century, Harvey House was a one-stop shop with a hot meal for travelers who had been without one for a long time.

As automobile travel increased and commuters stopped traveling by rail, the Harvey Houses experienced a sharp drop in clientele. The Harvey family opted to sell the business, and the restaurants shut down. Many former locations have since become landmarks in their respective locations.
