45. Willie Aames
Willie Aames, famed for his roles in “Eight Is Enough” and as “Bibleman,” embarked on his acting journey as a child in the late 1960s. Despite early success, Aames faced challenges with alcohol addiction, which he detailed in a 2017 Studio 10 interview. His struggle led him from prestigious moments, like dining at the White House, to experiencing homelessness.
Aames’ path to recovery saw him finding work as a satellite installer and on a cruise ship, demonstrating resilience and a commitment to change. His return to the screen in 2015 with a Hallmark movie, “Harvest Stone,” marked a comeback, leading to additional projects. Now married for the third time, Aames owns property in both L.A. and Vancouver, actively contributing to the entertainment industry once more.
