#5: We’re Off to See the Wizard
What’s better than receiving a gift from your grandma? Receiving a gift from your grandma’s grandma! That’s exactly what happened when one lucky individual was handed over a trio of first-edition books: Wizard of Oz, Ozma of Oz, and The Lost Princess of Oz. These books were passed down to her from her grandmother, who received them in March of 1930 – that’s almost a century ago!
The books are more than just literary treasures; they’re also time capsules, transporting us back to a simpler time when people found joy in stories about flying monkeys and magical shoes. Let’s hope the new owner treats them with the respect they deserve and doesn’t accidentally spill their coffee on the pages. After all, these books are older than sliced bread!
