Do you dream of perfectly clean and clear skin? Why not try our six easy steps to get rid of blackheads? It also works against other blemishes!
Most people have ever received blackheads, that is, those little black dots that are not directly pimples but are still so noisy. The worst thing is that they can be difficult to get rid of, but with a few simple steps you can quickly see the difference and get really fresh skin.
1. Keep your fingers away!
The very best thing you can do for your skin is to stop peeling and squeezing. We know it might be a boring tip, but if you squeeze your pores there is a risk that it will only get worse – red, inflamed and maybe scars!
If you simply can’t help it, always make sure you have clean hands, and wash your face before too.
Pimples and blackheads thrive in clogged pores, and a thorough cleaning routine is crucial to get nice skin. Although you cannot wash away acne, it is important to remove excess oil and dirt from the skin.
3. Add a mask
There are many types of masks that help against blackheads, and many are profound. Clearly more fun, though, is a peel-off mask, which dries on the skin and then peels off. It may hurt a bit to pull off the mask, but the result (that all blackheads remain in the mask) is so satisfactory that it is worth a little pain.
4. Try retinol and salicylic acid
There are several different products that promise wonders to blackheads, but the only substances that have shown any effect in scientific studies are salicylic acid (or BHA as it is often marketed as) and retinol.
When your skin is clean, it may feel strange to add moisture and fat, but the fact is that dry skin can give even more blackheads. Therefore, invest in a really good face cream.
6. Cover (without clogging again)
If you still have some blackheads, you may want to cover them. But make sure that your products do not clog your pores, as you will only have even more skin problems in the future.
So, that was our best tip! But perhaps the best tip of all is to remember that these are just little worms and that no one else thinks of them as much as you do.
